Welcome to HAMMERTON BREWERY
Hammerton Brewery originally began brewing in London in 1868 but it sadly ceased to brew in the late 1950s and was later demolished.
In 2014, a member of the Hammerton family decided to resurrect the Brewery using both modern and traditional techniques. It also brings brewing back to Islington, a London borough with a great and proud brewing heritage.
Four years on, Hammerton’s first and only pub (for now…) has opened its doors on Holloway Road, welcoming beer enthusiasts and novices alike.
Hammerton’s emphasis on taste first and foremost, using the best quality ingredients possible.
WE'RE CANNING NOW
We're delighted to announce that you will now be able to find all of your favourite Hammerton beers in can! There are a number of reasons why we have decided to start moving our range from bottles to cans. Firstly, the quality of the beer is better as cans are completely airtight and keep out all light, so the beer never gets tainted. Secondly, canned beer weighs less. Less packaging means we can move the same amount of products in fewer trips, which in return reduces our carbon footprint. Thirdly, aluminium is 100% recyclable compared to glass which is not.
